Raspberry and frangipane tart – quarter slice


Our version of the time-honoured Bakewell Tart. Sable pastry case, macerated raspberries and a rich almond, butter and sugar topping.

It has become more Paris, France than Bakewell, Derbyshire in the process, but none the worse for that.

This dish exemplifies our approach to food. There are no tricks, no preservatives, just the best ingredients we can lay our hands on cooked in the correct way and got to you as quickly as we can.

Little Tip: Pairs well with either crème fraîche or vanilla ice cream.

Suitable for vegetarians.


Raspberry, butter (milk), caster sugar, wheat flour, almonds, egg, vanilla sugar, vanilla essence, rum, water.
